Before you decide to support some proposed law against big tech, or big social media, read it first. In many cases it is written in such a way where it also applies to the fediverse and even small private forums. Some of these proposed laws are so intrusive and so expensive to comply with, they could basically bankrupt any small fediverse server or forum, or even prohibit the use of most fediverse software in their jurisdiction. Always read the bill itself because the proponents of such laws don't always tell you what's really in the bill.
